Alaska State Fair!

The weekend after my parents left, we decided to head out on a sunny day to the Alaska State Fair which was in Palmer, located about 45 minutes from Anchorage.

We got there nice and early so there were very few people so we had first dibs on everything!  We first headed to the "Bodies Exhibit" which made me want to eat no sort of fair food...

First on to the animals

I guess I was the only one... on to the cookies
Eric's fave, milk and cookies with friends Ginny and Will

Then we headed to the most "state fair" activity of them all...a lumberjack show!  Wow!  It was most definitely entertaining!!

Then to the acrobatics show, my fave!
 So incredible!

Will and Eric checking out the snow machines

Then on to the BMX show, these guys were incredible!

 Amazing!

Then we checked out the gigantic veggies!!  With the nearly 21 hour days, the growing season is short in months, but the days are so long it makes up for it.

Check out the comparison!

Fun times at the Alaska State Fair!
