We're goin' the the chapel and we're gonna get married!- Our Wedding Day July 10, 2010

Our wedding day was absolutely the best day we could have ever hoped for and more. . . they forecasted rain as early as the 10 day look ahead up until the morning of our wedding.  Our amazing caterer AKA miracle man Gary was there with us every step of the way, and even came in to show us his doppler weather forecast.  Up until about two hours before the wedding, our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour was going to be inside.   At the last possible minute, they set up outside!  Imagine our excitement when we saw the chairs being set up!!!

A quick photo with me and Cin before I put my veil on

I've got more photos to add, but this is a sampling.  Eric and I opted to see each other before the ceremony so we could take photos before the ceremony and not be under so much of a time constraint during the cocktail hour.   It was definitely the best decision we could have made.  We both said to each other how happy we were to be able to "see each other for the first time" on our wedding day in a more intimate setting.  It was a really special moment.
On to photos....

I can't believe I went down these steps and on to this muddy, rocky beach in my wedding gown!

We're Almost Goin' to the Chapel-July 9, 2010

We can't believe how quickly the wedidng day came up!  Never-the-less, here we were, the day before the wedding and it was time to get ready to go down to Rye for the beginning of the wedding weekend.  Since I'm pretty clumsy orinarily, I really didn't want to trytto do nails any sooner.  So, the Friday mornig before the wedding, all the girls in the wedding party and I went to "Gorgeous Nails" to get jazzed up.  Our moms, Giuseppina, my Aunt Evie and my God Mother Donna wanted to go too, but there was no space, so we had to split up :(  They went to a salon near by.
Drinking Momosas and getting beautified :)

Afterwards, we all split up and drove down seperately.  Eric had the van with the gift boxes and additional booze, my mom and I had my wedding dress, and it goes on and on.  We all ended up making it to Wainwright in the mid-afternoon.  My parents rented the House on the property called The Fonrose House where we all (Marras and Pickett families and the wedding party) stayed the night before the wedding and night of the wedding.    The house is beautiful.  It's adjacent to Wainwright and is "retreat" style living.   It was perfect.  There was also a room on the side of the house that we were able to use to store all the booze, the 40+ gift boxes for all the guests and vendors and any other miscellaneous wedding items.  We ended up using this room after the delicious rehersal dinner to practice our choreographed dance :)  It was such a fun way to spend the rest of the evening with everyone.

After some sillyness at the Fonrose House, we were off to our Rehersal Dinner!  It came up so quickly!  Mom and Dad Pickett were our wonderful, gracious hosts for the evening.  They arranged everything at a nearby Trattoria, called Al Dente (literally meaning "to the tooth")...Italians aim to cook their pasta this way.  We had a lovely evening with everyone and it was a great way to enjoy the night before our wedding all together.  Thank you so much for all your hard work with this!!

My mom with the Schwarz side being represented.  Jackie and Bill Bell (my mom's second cousin is Bill) came all the way from Maryland.  We were so overjoyed they were able to be a part of the celebration.  Of course, they are dressed to the nines, they look great!

Carlo and Giuseppina just flew in the night before from Sardegna.  It was so lovely to have them be a part of this special celebration.

My Aunt and Uncle flew in from Germany.   We're missing many family members here but we feel so fortunate to have been able to have as many European family and friends with us.

Luca is re-united with his American Family :)

Many people who traveled from very far to be with us-Carlo and Giuseppina, my zio Franco and Aunt Evie and My God Parents, Donna and Bill.
