Leaving Houston, as I have mentioned, was very tough. As with every move, saying goodbye to friends is one of my least favorite aspects of moving around like we do. So, when one of our very best friends from Houston told me she had a business trip to Anchorage the month after we left, it made our goodbye not as sad because we knew we'd be seeing her so soon! She arrived on Saturday night late and we'd arranged to go on a hike on Sunday with a work friend of hers who also lives here. Her friend ended up taking us on a pretty exhausting hike that went up and down and all around Kincaid Park. The best part were the views from the high lands. It was not the prettiest day, and very windy, but beautiful scenery none the less for Jen to enjoy!
