Souq Waqif

We made our first trip to this well-known souq.  Souq just means market or lot of stores together.   We were told after our trip to the Souq Waqif that it is normally more busy.  Again, we went on a Friday in the afternoon.  Many of the businesses were not open but there were still some restaurants open and we even ran into Eric's colleague.

VIP parking at the entrance of Souq Waqif.  The black Range Rover's licence plate number was 189-the lower the number, the closer they are to the Royal Family.  Most license plates that you see are in the hundred thousands so to see a low number is pretty special.
