A colleague of mine told me about "Santa's Wonderland" which is about 90 minutes from Houston near College Station (where Texas A & M is located). So, we looked into it and decided to make the trek there one night. We invited our friends Anna and Kevin who have a 2 year old because we figured he'd enjoy it. Basically what it is, is hundreds of thousands of lights and at the very end, there's a little village with food, live music and shops.
We drove literally through the middle of nowhere to get here and finally happened upon this sea of lights. We went on an "off peak" night so we were able to drive through in our car. The other options are a horse and carriage ride or a hayride.
Let the sea of lights begin. We seriously have never seen anything like this ever before!!
I wish I had gotten more photos..but unfortunately forgot to put the memory card back in my camera...all iPhone photos which aren't the best for nighttime.
Once we finished the 40 minute drive through the wonderland, we went to Santa's village.
I had to take a picture of the restroom. I was thinking it was going to be full of porta-potties, but no, it was a really nice bathroom.
They even had snow!
The most ginormous frying pan I've ever seen
We came, we saw, we conquered Santa's Wonderland!
