Since we flew back to TX late on a Sunday night, Eric planned on taking the following Monday off from work. We decided it would be a perfect time to get our Christmas tree. Texas really got on the horse pretty early as far as Christmas celebrations go. There were literally large, and I mean giant-Texas sized bows (I will get a photo) on many buildings and lights all over the place since 15 October. I love the holidays and love to celebrate, but after Thanksgiving, please!!
Anyhow, we decided to take the easy route and go to a garden center to pick up our tree. We were happy to have a real tree again. As you can imagine, real Christmas tress in Qatar are in high demand and low supply = mucho denaro. So, we opted for an artificial one. Although the real trees are a real pain (needles everywhere)...and I know, not as safe (we keep it well hydrated) but, we just love it!
