A few days after our wedding, we were lucky to be able to go sailing on the majestic Hudson River with good friends Barberina and Alan. Barberina is German and therefore had lots of fun speaking to my aunt and uncle. Alan is a talented new author of the novel Amos and the Cosmos. It's a wonderful book and I highly recommend reading it! It was fun to be able to spend some downtime with a group of wonderful people before we headed back to Doha.

After a sail, we went back to Barberina and Alan's house for a delicious meal. Of course, we couldn't resist a swim in their beautiful pool overlooking the Hudson River. They also have these really cool fountains that stretch across the pool and make for a neat night-time effect
