Day 3-On to Jaipur

On day 3, we woke up at our hotel in Agra and were ready for a drive to Jaipur, another 4-6 hour trip.  On our way out of the hotel, we saw this donkey walking along the street

A shot before we left...from right: police officer, our driver, Ved, Eric and the door man.  It was originally just meant to be Eric and Ved, but everyone else wanted to be in the shot :)

Typical sites on the road.  Many trucks were colorfully painted and they all read "blow horn" so that if you are passing, you sound your horn so they are aware.  At least it's somewhat organized...

Tuk-tuks getting ready for the day ala NYC taxis.   All over the world, the more things are different, the more things are the same.
Off to the Red Fort in Agra

Sites from the inside

This, again, another beautifully ornamented room, carved out, by hand.

Oh my gosh, this boy, solicited us to have him jump from the platform into this very green looking water for 50 Rupees = ~1 USD.   Eric could not turn it down.  He wanted to see this, and we were paying him, so, here he goes.

He obviously had done this before, many times.

After the Red Fort, we headed to check out a few stores and then our hotel.  We found this little piggie in the street.

Palace on the water in Jaipur
Our hotel's restaurant where we ate the most delicious food in India...Rajasthani food, yum!!!
Very ornamented!

These guys were playing music the entire dinner.

Next up, our elephant ride up to the Amber Fort!
